Proposal for the development of a residential care home. Wildwood Ecology was initially commissioned to undertake a reptile presence/absence survey and BREEAM Multi-residential 2008 assessment to maximise the Land Use and Ecology credits.
The reptile survey identified the presence of a large population of reptiles. A mitigation strategy was designed and successfully implemented to capture and translocate reptiles to a new site, followed by a destructive search.
A rare plant was also translocated to a new site.
