Overview
Our client approached us to provide support during a planning application (Wycome District Council: Local Planning Authority). Our initial involvement was through preliminary ecological assessments of the land and current buildings. Surveys identified potential key issues relating to nesting birds, bats, badger and hedgehog. Following a subsequent bat survey, we provided a full Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) for planning, alongside a wildlife management plan.
Post planning we applied for and successfully registered the site under a Bat Mitigation Low Impact Class Licence. Following nesting bird checks and a site induction, vegetation was removed in preparation for demolition as part of our Ecological Clerk of Work duties. Development then proceeded with the inclusion of biodiversity enhancement measures.
