Overview
Audley Redwood village is set within 15 acres of landscaped parkland. The village comprises 106 apartments and 20 cottages, all built to complement the local Georgian architecture.
Challenge
The former site was a hotel and leisure complex and site that required full demolition. Before a full planning application could be submitted the client needed a detailed bat survey of the large complex.
Approach
Wildwood Ecology formed part of the survey team and later designed and implemented detailed mitigation and compensation measures for several species of bat.
Outcome
Planning permission and a full mitigation licence were obtained in 2015, allowing for full site clearance and demolition works to be completed.
