We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that on 31st March, Wildwood Ecology joined the growing market leader in ecological and environmental consultancy, Ecology Group.
Wildwood Ecology | Certified B Corporation™ was born in Wales under the stewardship of Richard Crompton back in 2003 (incorporated in 2008), building a reputation for outstanding services to Local Authorities and local businesses and home owners.
On the news, Managing Director Richard Dodd reflected about his time with Wildwood Ecology.
I joined in 2010 and the company started to grow organically, as we grew our client base from West Wales to then South Wales, and onward across the border to England. Joining the Ecology Group is a great opportunity to continue that growth, exploring new areas and enabling us to deliver outstanding client-focused services to more people.
Wildwood Ecology certified as a B Corporation in 2019 and also picked up our first Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) award as Small Consultancy of the Year during this time too. We have subsequently been awarded this title in 2021, 2023 and 2025. There’s consistency for you!
As of April 2026, we now have over 20 employees and serve a diverse range of clients including many amazing architects, planning consultants, local planning authorities and development and construction companies.
